Welcome to 152 Murray Hill, a charming Kirkwood bungalow tucked along “the curve” on one of the neighborhood’s most picturesque streets. Behind the picket fence, a rocking-chair front porch welcomes you to this light-filled 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, where original character meets an exceptionally thoughtful floor plan. A wallpapered entry foyer with coat closet opens to inviting living spaces featuring high ceilings, original hardwood floors, crystal doorknobs and scalloped shades. The living room flows easily into the dining area, anchored by a gas-log fireplace with wood mantel and marble surround and a brass chandelier overhead. Defined alcoves and landing spaces give each area purpose while maintaining an open, connected feel—an ideal layout for everyday living and entertaining. High ceilings continue into the kitchen, where a vaulted design adds to the home’s bright, open feel. Light countertops, subway tile backsplash and shaker-style wood cabinetry with pull-outs, dividers and glass-front accents combine style and function. A raised bar connects the kitchen to the dining area, while two windows overlook the deck and backyard. The primary suite feels spacious and airy, with a vaulted ceiling, walk-in closet and wallpapered bath featuring a furniture-style vanity and tiled shower with rain and handheld fixtures. A second bedroom and full bath offer flexible guest or office space, while a charming powder room and rear mudroom/pass-through add function and personality. French doors open to a private deck overlooking a truly special, park-like backyard filled with mature hardwoods, cherry and dogwood trees, established azaleas, stone pathways, bridge and a koi pond. Two cherry trees bloom in light and deep pink each spring, creating a beautiful backdrop. Beyond the yard, the property backs to a walkable greenspace enjoyed by neighbors and dog walkers, adding an unexpected sense of privacy and openness. Covered driveway parking completes the home, but the Oakhurst lifestyle may be its greatest amenity. Known for its strong sense of community, tree-lined streets and walkability, Oakhurst puts neighborhood restaurants, shops and gathering places close to home. With its rocking-chair porch, beautiful gardens, original details and easy indoor-outdoor flow, 152 Murray Hill captures the charm that makes Oakhurst so special.
